Betsy Ross Flag Color-by-Number

We love a fun coloring activity, but even better one that helps teach our nation’s history. This color-by-number flag offers an opportunity to teach our youngest generation about the creation of the American flag during the Revolutionary War. You can discuss with them the need of a flag that represented each of the 13 colonies, for at this point, they only had each individual colony’s flag — not one that represented them all. You can talk about how George Washington commissioned its creation and it is believed that Betsy Ross sewed the first American flag.
