Bald Eagle Coloring Page
Strong, brave, and free, the bald eagle has been a symbol of our great nation since 1782, when the Founders placed it on the Great Seal of the United States. You can still find it there today on the back of every dollar bill!
Our littlest patriots are often surprised to learn that the bald eagle isn't bald at all. Its head is covered in snowy white feathers, and its name comes from an old English word meaning white-headed. Its wings can stretch six to seven feet from tip to tip. That's wider than most grown-ups are tall!
This free bald eagle coloring page is a simple way to introduce your child to one of America's most beloved symbols. As they color, talk together about why the Founders chose an eagle. It soars high above the land, it is strong and watchful, and it cannot be caged. What a wonderful picture of the freedom we are so blessed to enjoy!
For a sweet memory verse to go with it, read Isaiah 40:31 together: "They shall mount up with wings like eagles."
